Blue moss farm is an eclectic hodgepodge of critters, projects that sometimes get done, and study of nature. As the farm manager, I strive to maintain an organic healthy environment. Goals to install permaculture ideals and methods to make the human imposed functions of the farm work in harmony with nature are always on the horizon. I hope you enjoy the pictures and stories of life here in this pocket of the universe.

So far this year I have seen one butterfly. Up here in Takoma Park, MD there are lots of flowers planted. But hardly any insects anywhere. I did get bitten by mosquitos in the back yard, and I saw a wasp that seemed to have carried off some of the caterpillars eating my sad roses here, but that is it so far. Have not seen a single honey bee. :(

Blue Moss Farm has been dissembled. I, of course, have hopes that I will be able to restart elsewhere, as unlikely as that prospect appears to be. I canā€™t seem to remove the page, so it will be here for reminiscing.
