2 years without you seems like a lifetime. Today was the day I got the worst phone call in my life saying you had been hit and airlifted to UT from a motorcycle wreck. I can’t help but have so many questions and still be mad at the world for taking my best friend from me. I love you and miss you so much Ron Cooper. Be patient with me this week I’m a ticking time bomb with all these emotions. 💔💔💔

Made a hard decision this weekend…. I sold all of dad’s peacocks. They all went together, have a great home and I can visit anytime… however it still hurts that I let them go I feel like I let a piece of my dad go by doing this… Ron Cooper I love you and I’m sorry I just couldn’t keep it all going.

This got me pretty tore up today… Ron Cooper had set up his business for his peacocks… he was so proud of it and now he’s getting mail for it… I haven’t hardly done anything this year with his birds not even hatched off any babies. He was always so proud of them. I feel so bad for not keeping it going this year but lord it’s so much work and I just can’t do it all. I need time for me. I miss him so much. I love you daddy I think about you all the time I have tried to move forward and be happier but sometimes it’s really hard to not just lose it. I need your help and advice more than ever right now.

After our peachicks hatch they stay in a brooder in the house for the first 3 weeks then they graduate to and outdoor pen. They have to be raised on wire for the first 4-6 months due to being susceptible to diseases. Once they are 6 months we put them on the ground then 2 weeks later deworm. We use a spray called tec-trol which helps kill off coccidia which is the number one killer in peachicks.

Sarge and bandit… Sarge is our 4yo Great Pyrenees… he keeps all the predators away from the birds. Bandit likes to lay on the brooders where it’s warm watching the babies and kill mice in the feed room. Post pics of your babies in the comments!❤️
