Come winter, we love to utilize our spice cabinet as much as possible, and this potato salad is a shining example of the power of seasoning. Quarter 3 lb baby potatoes and boil in a large pot of salted water until fork tender, about 12 minutes. Meanwhile, finely chop 1/2 red onion. In a large mixing bowl combine the chopped onion with 3/4 cup greek yogurt, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons apple c***r vinegar, 2 teaspoons salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon dill w**d, 1/2 teaspoon celery seed, 1/4 teaspoon mustard seed, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder. Mix until the potato dressing is evenly combined, then add the drained potatoes, tossing to coat. Cover and refrigerate overnight to let the flavors soak into the potatoes. Enjoy!

The start of pomegranate season is upon us, so let's make some pomegranate salsa! Simply combine the seeds from half a pomegranate, 1/2 of a cucumber diced, 1/2 a red onion finely diced, a jalapeno diced (seeds removed if you want to keep the heat level low), a large pinch of salt, freshly ground pepper, the juice of half a lime, and a glug of olive oil in a large bowl. Toss to combine and coat everything. Add additional salt and lime juice to taste. Serve this salsa with chips, or use it for a pop of texture and flavor on things like curries and roasted meats, or bring a unique twist to your avocado toast.

How do I know when it's time to sharpen knives? Dull knives don't just make cooking frustrating — they can actually be more dangerous than sharp ones.
Here’s how to know it’s time for a sharpen:
• Your knife squishes soft-skin fruits like nectarines or tomatoes instead of slicing cleanly
• You're using extra pressure to cut through onions or herbs
• Food slips or slides instead of gripping the blade
• Your cuts look ragged, uneven, or crushed
• It’s been a while since your last professional sharpening
A sharp knife should feel effortless, precise, and safe. Regular honing helps maintain the edge, but when performance drops, it’s sharpening time. Your prep should feel smooth—not like a workout. Now is a great time to get knives sharpened before holiday meal prep begins!
