If you are in Loudoun County and want to learn the intricacies of keeping honeybees, consider taking the Loudoun Beekeepers Assn. (LBA) Beginners Beekeeping Course. The season starts on Jan 11th with an open house for registered and perspective beekeepers, and the first class begins on Jan 11th.

Basking Bee Farm and Apiary will be closed on Saturday, December 14 because we have two holiday events where we will be selling honey. So stop by the Holiday Market at Bush Tabernacle Skating Rink in Purcellville or the Holiday Market at the Old Stond School in Hillsboro. Or, both! Both is good!

We’re set up at Vanish to support the Loudoun Community Cat Coalition Pints 4 Paws! They have some great vendors lined up. Come drink beer and save cats.

Basking Bee Farm and Apiary is closed today because we’re participating in two events.

Steph will have a booth at Vanish brewery for the Pints 4 paws event. Our skull pints will be available there.

Todd will be Bluemont Fair with the Loudoun Beekeepers Association. It’s a great spot to learn about bees with our demonstration hive on display and taste the varieties of honey our local beekeepers produce!

Come see us at either, or both, locations!!
