Please consider getting that extra boost-- we did the horses here today!
Anytime we lose one of our horses, Chris makes a sign out of horseshoes to hang on our fence. Tonight, we noticed that our "Moe" sign is missing. It was relatively heavy (being made of metal horseshoes), so it didn't blow away.
It says "MOE" spray painted purple with a red heart underneath of it, with hooks on the back so it can be hung over a fenceboard. If it was stolen and someone happens to see it somewhere, please let us know. It has a lot of sentimental meaning to us and we'd really like to have it back.
your hoomans get you knockoff Nikes until your real sneakers come in (don't worry, he's okay!)

I know, I know. My last post was Legacy, too. But look at his beautiful dished face! And his filthy muzzle from diving into his old-man mush! We're obsessed π
Check out this sweet old face! Meet Legacy, our newest boarder. Legacy is a 33 year old Arab cross who has come to spend the rest of his golden years at the farm. Thank you to everyone who has trusted us with their equine friends over the years, especially these senior ones who can be a little more tricky to care for. We love our boarders (both horses and humans)!

A throwback to last week... Clifford is NOT a fan of this weather π
Nothin' to see here, just a couple of bffs sharing hay.
We get to participate in the coolest stuff sometimes...
Maverick was a Christmas surprise for two sweet girls and we got to decorate a stall and dress him for the occasion. Isn't he adorable?

Yes, I DID have to post Preacher's goofy lip wiggle as well as his cute picture. Love that Pre-Pre.
My friend came by the farm a few weeks ago and took photos of some of the residents here at MBF. In order: Mel, Margie, Josie, Aiden, Waldo, Clifford, and Hollywood.
Preacher says "Don't forget to bundle up!" Stay warm, friends!
Bubba was showing off the blonde "hair extension" he gave himself. He said he wanted to join the DIY hair trend... π

Nicki and Waldo having a little playtime on this beautiful spring day!
We are looking for someone to feed on Monday mornings, as our current person is moving away! 10 horses on the property; 5 stalled and 5 field boarded. Feeds take about 25 minutes to a half hour, great for a little extra cash. Must have horse experience (though our horses are extremely well-behaved)!
We are located in Lovettsville, VA.
Please text 703-554-7851 for more information.
Looks like Clifford lost today... although Waldo is missing quite a few chunks of hair! (Sidenote: the white is Desitin to protect the cuts after I cleaned and put Neosporin on them)

Our Mille Fleur D'Uccle Booted Bantam hen, Butterfly, is hatching her babies today! She is so sneaky about finding places to hide and hatch. We will have to rehome them, as we have a lot of chickens as it is. They sure are cute!
After sexing our duckling, it seems that "Hubert" is actually female! We need your name suggestions! Seems that out duckling has a minor injury to her beak-- we're thinking she may have gotten it caught on something overnight.
For those who don't know, Hubert is my little club-footed duckling. He was brought back to work after they realized he had a deformity. He doesn't see the problem! Happy, healthy, cutie pie!
