Governor Abigail Spanberger is asking Virginians to conserve water due to rising concerns of drought conditions.
According to the governor's office, the Commonwealth is experiencing the driest period seen in the state since 1941, adding that as of June 19 precipitation levels are about eight inches below average for much of Virginia.
In partnership with the Virginia Drought Monitoring Task Force, the governor is encouraging Virginians to take voluntary, common sense steps to conserve water use.
