Tis the season...for grilling!

Remember how dang hot July was, when you didn't want to open the door, let alone go hang out next to a hot grill?

Well, the seasons are a changing, and fall is (sort of) upon us. FALL (not summer) is the ideal time to grill--the time of year when everyone gets back into their routines and a nice juicy burger on the grill and eating outside is just what the doctor ordered.

Just like magic then, we are flush with ground beef and offering our grass-finished, no-chemicals-ever, IOWA raised beef for $10.50 a pound (usually $12). The catch is, we are offering this price for this week only--September 1st we will go back to our regular prices.

Delivery available to Des Moines, Knoxville, Albia and there-abouts (we will figure out a time and place to meet that works for all parties).

All you have to do is fill out the form and we will get in touch.

We can grow so much in —not just corn and beans and animals in confinement.

Animals raised on grass are healthy (check out their shiny coats!) + doing what cattle should do. That means better nutrition for you and your family. It’s the perfect thing to farm in the rolling hills of south central Iowa.

Last Saturday, we had our first farm to table dinner of the season with Chef Mariela Maya. She produced a fantastic Peruvian five course meal made with meat and produce from Iowa--the vast majority of which came from our own farm.

Dinners and classes are as important to us as raising cattle and goats because we are bringing people together in this divisive time. We want to help create the kind of community we want to live in, building it little by little with every event we host, every meal we cook, every lesson we teach.

A visitor from Minneapolis who came to the farm for the dinner and spent the night put it this way:

“The dinner was an intimate way to get to know people while doing things we all love. I crave great food and real connection with our fellow human beings. This event satisfied both cravings.”

We have more events lined up for the late summer and fall! We hope you will consider joining us too!
