Lovingston Winery, located in the rolling countryside of the Blue Ridge Mountains, is dedicated to the production of the highest-quality wines. Primarily family-run along with head winemaker Riaan Rossouw, we take great pride in offering a pleasing experience in every bottle. Our Josie’s Knoll Vineyard site consists of 10.5 acres of densely-planted vines — ranging from the Bordeaux varietals of Me

rlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot to the South African Pinotage as well as Seyval Blanc, Chardonnay, and Petit Manseng. This “dense-planting” — 1200 vines to the acre — stems from the idea that by limiting the number of grape bunches a vine is able to produce, that vine concentrates all of its energy into those fewer clusters, increasing the quality of the fruit. The winery, built into a hillside on the family farm, employs a gravity-flow production method, allowing us to virtually eliminate the use of pumps and other mechanization we believe detracts from the wines. In addition, we ferment the grapes in relatively small quantities to allow for a more hands-on approach to winemaking and increased quality control.

Let's Make it a Party!

Join us in celebrating America's 250th birthday with a BBQ dinner full of all the classics: Chopped brisket, pulled chicken, pulled pork, green beans, mac & cheese, baked beans, cornbread, cookies and brownies. Follow it up with a truly unique fife and drum musical performance and some additional evening entertainment to cap off a fantastic 4th of July!

This event is scheduled for 6:45pm on Saturday, July 4th and is exclusively for Wine Club Members and their family and friends only.

Tickets are $60 per person and include a buffet dinner, one glass of wine, and evening entertainment.

Sangria Ramble Today!

The 7th Annual Sangria Ramble is back and bigger than ever! Swing by the winery today from 11:00am-6:00pm for a glass of our favorite white peach sangria made with local peaches from Drumheller's Orchard.

But don't stop there! You can find incredible sangria's up and down route 29 at neighboring wineries, cideries, breweries and distilleries. Check out the map below for all the stops. There's no better way to spend your Sunday than RAMBLIN'!
