🐂 Meet the Herd: Licorice 🐂

Meet Licorice, the newest addition to Double K Cattle Company!

Licorice is an Angus cross we recently purchased to give Sizzler a friend—and it didn’t take long for Halleigh to claim her as her own. ❤️

She is a friendly girl who will come close and even let you pet her. We are already enjoying her sweet personality, and we think she and Sizzler are going to make wonderful companions.

Well we normally stick to just Herefords but Sizzler was not quite ready to be shipped and we had no friends for him since his brothers left Sunday. The calves from this year were too small for him. Cows do better together so we bought two Angus cross cows to be with him. 🖤🐃🌾

🌾 Around the Farm: Jasper’s Daily Chores 🌾

There is always something that needs to be done around the farm—and Jasper is never afraid to lend a hand!

One of his jobs is making sure the cattle in our finishing area have plenty of feed. Along with quality hay and feed, we provide balanced daily nutrition and include an herbal deworming supplement as part of our parasite-management routine.

Every scoop is about more than filling a feeder. It is about paying attention to our cattle, supporting their health and nutritional needs, and teaching the next generation that raising animals well requires consistency, responsibility, and genuine care. 🐂❤️

These everyday chores may not always look exciting, but they are an important part of producing the clean, thoughtfully raised beef we are proud to provide.
