Favorite Flower Friday!

Rudbeckia maxima | Giant Black Eyed Susan | Cabbage Leaf Coneflower | Giant Coneflower - whatever you call her, she’s definitely a conversation starter!
Native wildflower to south central United States.
Super drought tolerant due to the massive taproot.
These beauties get up to 7’ tall, but grow & spread very slowly.

Bonus: gold finches LOVE the seeds!

Also, to clarify, I ‘rehomed’ the seeds. I mean, that place was going to cut them down anyway, right?
(I believe the statute of limitations has passed for seed napping.) 😉

Enjoy complimentary cocktails/mocktails by The Sassy Bartender (maximum two adult beverages per person) and fill a jar with colorful wildflowers as you stroll through the farm together. 🌸

We are in that transitional phase on the farm where it’s too warm for the spring flowers, yet still too cool for the summer blooms.
We call this our impatiently waiting period. (Wink)

We have about a week left of spring flowers. 🥹 We are sure going to miss them.

I remember growing up the adults would always tell me, “enjoy it now, life goes by so fast.”
Of course we don’t understand that as children, but now I completely get it.

Taking time to slow down and notice the smallest things around us really helps bring us to the present moment.
We’re not worried about work, traffic, appointments, etc.. we are here, now, noticing. 🦋

One of our favorite things is walking around the farm and witnessing all the little creatures who show up on the farm; whether it’s a quick stop on the way to their next destination, or they were born and live here their whole life. It truly is magical and the whole reason we keep this space as natural as possible. ✨

If you’re needing a place to slow down and enjoy the little moments, we’ve got a spot for you. 🦋

We are reopening the farm for professional photography starting tomorrow with a couple changes this season.
** This applies to any photographer who is taking photos of clients **

• all photographers must prebook their sessions online (hourly rental fee applies)
• all photographers must carry and show proof of liability insurance
• all photographers must agree and sign a farm waiver before their sessions
• (non professional photos) cellphone photography is always welcomed with a purchase of flowers please
