Good Morning~

First of all, we are completely blown away by the interest in becoming a part of our team. We were blessed to receive 61 emails and resumes from people interested in joining Provisions as a Shopkeeper. Sixty-one!

To know that so many of you already see what we are working to create, believe in our mission, and feel drawn to being a part of it is both humbling and incredibly exciting.

Our hearts have melted as we’ve read through your stories, journeys, experiences, and the thoughtful words you’ve shared with us. There are some truly wonderful people sitting in our inbox, and we know our future Shopkeepers are among them.

With such an amazing response, it is taking us just a little longer than anticipated to thoughtfully work through each application and begin setting up our next conversations. We apologize for the delay, but please know—we are reading, considering, and appreciating every single one.

Over the next few days, we look forward to beginning to connect with many of you!

🌱So you love our posts- but still a little confused about who we are? What we sell? And why we exist?

Provisions Market & Refillery is a modern-day general store centered around simple, thoughtfully sourced essentials for everyday life.

A 𝑀𝒶𝓇𝓀𝑒𝓉 because we carry pantry staples, local foods, household goods, personal care items, and refillable products made with clean ingredients and fewer unnecessary additives.

A 𝑅𝑒𝒻𝒾𝓁𝓁𝑒𝓇𝓎 is a place where you can refill your own containers with products like flour, oats, rice, spices, coffee, soaps, and cleaning supplies. This allows you to buy only the amount you need, reduce packaging waste, and often save money. If you don’t have containers, we’ll have options available for you.

Whether you come to refill a jar of oats, pick up fresh local eggs, discover a new artisan product, or find better ingredients for your family’s favorite recipes, Provisions is designed to make wholesome living simple and approachable.

Our goal isn’t to overwhelm you with endless choices. Instead, we carefully select products we trust so you can shop with confidence, support local makers, and leave with provisions that truly serve your home.

🌱 We are in a season of gathering~

Gathering thoughtful goods. Gathering incredible Provisioners. Gathering our first team of Shopkeepers. And working through all of the important behind-the-scenes details that turn a dream into a place our community can call home.

🔆 Future Shopkeepers: If you’ve been feeling called to apply, there’s still time. We will be gathering applications through the end of this week before beginning our first round of interviews. Everyone who has applied should have received an email letting you know what to expect next. If you have any questions, our inbox is always open—send us a DM or an email. 💕

🔆 Future Provisioners: We have been so encouraged by the number of farms, makers, artisans, and producers who have reached out. Thank you for believing in what we’re creating. Please continue introducing yourselves—we are thoughtfully connecting with each of you as quickly as we can, and we can’t wait to share your stories and products with our community.

There is something beautiful about this season of gathering. Every conversation, every partnership, every application, and every detail is helping shape what Provisions will become.

Soon, we’ll move from gathering… to serving. From preparing… to becoming a resource for our community.

And we truly cannot wait to open our doors to you.

📣 The time has come… we’re looking for our team.

At Provisions, we don’t just need employees—we’re looking for Shopkeepers.

A Shopkeeper is the heart of our store and the heart of every guest’s experience. We’re looking for people who genuinely believe in what we’re creating. People who would choose to shop at Provisions even if they didn’t work here. Maybe you’ve spent years wishing a place like this existed, or maybe you’re just beginning your journey toward a simpler, more intentional way of living. Wherever you are on that journey, we’d love to meet you.

Above all else, we’re looking for kind people. Cash registers, stocking shelves, and store procedures can all be taught. Character cannot.

Our ideal Shopkeeper is:

We have six part-time Shopkeeper positions available, averaging 15–20 hours per week.

Why part-time? Because we believe meaningful work and meaningful home life can coexist. Provisions is a community effort, but we also believe your family, your home, and your own well-being matter. We want to build a team that has the opportunity to pour into this mission while still having the time and margin to care well for the people they love.

Just a little real-life mood board. ✨

Today I’m sitting in the middle of a store that’s still very much under construction… and feeling incredibly grateful.

While there are still projects to finish and shelves to fill, I couldn’t help myself—I started gathering some of the pieces that will eventually make Provisions feel like home. The warm woods, vintage touches, baskets, linens, and little details that make my creative heart so happy.

Our hope? That walking through the door feels a little like stepping into Grandma’s kitchen… welcoming, comforting, familiar, and full of simple goodness.

👀 P.S. I spy with my little eye one of our Provisioners—the name we’ve given the incredible farms, artisans, brands, and makers we’re partnering with to bring thoughtful, clean, and locally sourced goods to our community. This one will be available when we open, both in individual containers and in our bulk refillery so you can fill your own jars or simply try a small amount before committing.

Every corner of this place is being created with intention, and we can’t wait to share it with you. 🤍

“Breaking bread” is a timeless expression. It’s about so much more than sharing a meal—it represents hospitality, trust, unity, and community. It’s an invitation to slow down, gather around the table, and care for one another.

I thought about that this morning as I continued preparing our space for Provisions.

I met a wonderful woman who immediately understood the vision behind what we’re creating—just as so many of you have. We could have talked for hours about nourishing our families, learning to read ingredients, and searching for foods that truly serve the people we love.

But before she left, she handed me a piece of homemade bread.

She shared the journey that led her there—the countless loaves, the lessons learned, the ingredients she had carefully chosen, and the joy she found in creating a loaf with beautiful flavor and a soft, nourishing texture.

It wasn’t just bread.

It was her story. Her time. Her knowledge. Her willingness to share what she had learned so someone else could benefit.

Moments like these remind me why Provisions exists.

Yes, we’re creating a market filled with thoughtfully sourced goods. But more than that, we’re creating a place where stories are shared, knowledge is passed along, neighbors encourage one another, and our community gathers around a common desire—to care well for the people we love.

Thank you to every person who has shared your favorite products, your recipes, your farms, your encouragement, and your own journey. You’re helping build something much bigger than a store.

📖 Our favorite part of this journey so far is…the people.

Every supplier we’ve met has a story. The honey maker who started with a few jars, the family raising chickens, the maker crafting nourishing tallow products, the farmer growing food with intention—each one has a “why.” A reason they chose a different way to approach food, approach ingredients, approach their home, and approach the way they care for their families and communities.

Provisions was born not only from a love of clean food and simple ingredients, but from a deep love for people and a desire to see Lowell—our community—healthier and thriving.

After years of intentionally feeding our children, nourishing ourselves, and searching for truly beautiful, trustworthy ingredients, we felt called to do better, to do more—not just for our own families, but for yours. We wanted to create a place that makes choosing wholesome products a little easier and a little more joyful.

At its core, Provisions exists to make intentional living accessible, approachable, and woven into the rhythm of everyday life. It’s a place to discover thoughtfully sourced goods, connect with the people behind them, and celebrate the stories that make them meaningful. 💕

As all things become finalized- we will be sharing these products- these stories in more depth. We are so excited and hope you are too!

And by experience… We mean shopping that feels human again.

No self-checkouts. No overwhelming aisles. No decision fatigue. From the moment you walk through our doors—or spot us online—you’re invited into something slower, simpler, and more intentional.

You’ll see thoughtful green practices woven throughout, with earth-conscious standards guiding how we source, package, and operate. You’ll find meaningful ways to fill your pantry and cupboards and freezers and apothecary. You’ll feel supported in choosing clean, non-toxic essentials for your home and family.

But beyond sustainability and quality, it’s about participation.

We want you to scoop your grains, mill your own flour, discover a new herb, ask questions, and linger a little longer. We want you to learn a new skill or perfect an old one at our workshops. We want you to enjoy the act of gathering what will nourish your household.

Traditionally, the general store was the heart of a town—a place of connection, conversation, and shared knowledge. A place where neighbors exchanged recipes, remedies, and stories.

That’s the spirit we’re bringing back.
