We have a limited supply, so please reach out if you would like us to save you some eggs. We are asking $5/egg as these turkeys have been expensive to raise and keep, and we wouldn't even come close to paying for upkeep even with that price 🙃

It's almost spring and the chickens are laying! Our self-serve fridge is super full!
For the next week, for the couple of hours per day when our work schedules overlap, our grandma's dog will be living in the porch where the fridge is. She is super friendly and is likely to just sleep if you stop in to visit.

Have you ever gotten a mini-egg from us? This is a fairy egg! Long thought to be a sign of good luck to come, sometimes one of our chickens will give us a fairy egg which we will sneak into a dozen to give you 12½ eggs. More scientifically, a fairy egg is an ovarian oopsie when an egg white is surrounded by a shell without any associated yolk. It happens more in very old or very young birds. Our Easter eggers who give us the blue eggs are almost four years old, and most often give us these beauties at this point!

On a side note, for those who have been checking our fridge and finding it empty, it's molting season so our egg production is about half of what it is usually as the chickens grow out a new coat of feathers. Thank you for your patience!

Big news! New head rooster Drumstick and sweet hen Nog Nog—daughter of Eggnog and the late king White Claw—had a baby! The only hatchling from Nog Nog's clutch of eggs, the little one is in need of a name.

We're happy that Eggnog is a grandma, and it's sweet to remember the good boy White Claw. He was such a good, and always clearly proud, dad to his five kids. We know he'd be happy to be a grandpa! 🐣

Keep watch for the return of Featured Fowl Friday as we introduce the names of the new little one and the new chicks we got to grow up alongside the little one!
