Please say some prayers for our friends at Bordelon Apiaries in Louisiana. TS Arthur laid down 30” of rain in 12 hrs causing major flooding of their homes, business buildings and over 1000 hives. 🐝

This past year I had the privilege of teaching a beekeeping course to high school students at a homeschool co-op. We had a good time making beeswax candles, extracting honey, creating labels for their honey, building and painting bee boxes, making chocolate candy with honey and learning the basics of beekeeping.
I hope the kids will remember this class with fondness when they get older.

I’ve been enjoying teaching a beekeeping class at our homeschool co-op this year. One of my students, Caleb, bought a nuc and installed his bees today. His dad sent me this photo.
