It all started when the Forland's traveled from Norway to the U.S in the 1900s; eventually making there way to baldwin county setting in the Robetsdale/Silverhill area. Next generation also cotton as well as soybeans, red potatoes, and sweet potatoes. They also added livestock, chickens, and started a large pecan orchard to the farm. Oscar and Jean Forland, the third generation still live on the f

amily farm today. Over the years the Forland Farm has been divided up to children and grandchildren. John and Alecia Forland, Michelle’s parents, still continue to farm. Today, Michelle and her family produce many food crops. Turnips, collards, sweet corn, peas, watermelon, kale, squash, zucchini, strawberries, peaches, plums and okra are among the many crops that are produced in each vegetable and fruit’s season. Farming is our families passion and we strive to give the community a fresh variety of fruits and vegetables. Come see us at our store Loxley Farm Market, or at these farmer markets : Palafox Market, Fairhope Farmers Market, Gulf Shores Farmers Market, and the Farmers and Fishermans Market in Foley.
