Grief doesn't pause for the Holidays. That's why Picoso's Mexican Kitchen is starting a grief group for restaurant workers to find support through the holidays together.

If you work in a restaurant, you know better than most that November and December are the busiest stretch of the year, and you’re expected to smile through service while missing someone who should be at the table. Maybe it’s your first season without them. Maybe it’s your tenth and it still hits like the first.

This support group is a place to talk about the person you lost or just sit with people who get it. No pressure to speak. No fixing. Just room.

Colter has been coming to Picoso's Shift Change Support Group weekly for over 6 months. This month, we got to celebrate him as he reached 6 months of sobriety! 🎉We are so proud of Colter's grit, consistency, and perseverance as he navigates recovery. Not only has he shown up for himself every week for the last 6 months, he has been a steadfast supporter of others in the group as well.

The Shift Change Support Group is held every Tuesday from 8-9 pm at Picoso's Mexican Kitchen. It was created to provide people in the service industry a recovery support group that prioritizes intentional connection and community with other service industry employees. If you or someone you know may benefit from extra support, connection, or community, we would love to see you there!
