We ventured in our backyard this weekend and headed down to Deming NM for the Mexico Luna county heritage day state bbq championship. It was a first year comp and the organizers did a great job and we look forward to doing it again next year. It was great to see the community support and the local teams that stepped up and made it a qualifier. The cook went well and we liked what we turned in.

This past weekend we headed down to Yuma AZ. I was worried that I didn’t pack a heater,,, turns out I had to the AC the whole time. It’s always a great contest and well run. We got our usual spot House of Fades Barbershop. Those guys are the best. The heat got the better of me and it showed in the results. I was able to get

Our bbq adventure took us to Slab-O-Rama Barbeque Challenge this past weekend. Great way to start off the year. A couple of hiccups but solid cook. Was happy to hear our name called a couple of times.
