This past weekend we headed down to Yuma AZ. I was worried that I didn’t pack a heater,,, turns out I had to the AC the whole time. It’s always a great contest and well run. We got our usual spot House of Fades Barbershop. Those guys are the best. The heat got the better of me and it showed in the results. I was able to get

Our bbq adventure took us to Slab-O-Rama Barbeque Challenge this past weekend. Great way to start off the year. A couple of hiccups but solid cook. Was happy to hear our name called a couple of times.

This past weekend we ventured to Las Vegas Nevada to cook. We cooked against 90 great cooks from across the country. The BBQ Jackpot put on a great contest. This was our last contest of the year. It was great to see all the bbq family and meet new friends. The cook went good but in a field this deep it had to be great.

Back to reality day. I hope everyone made it home safe from the American Royal. It was another great time with the bbq family. We did what we could and gave it our all. That landed us in the middle of the pack for most entries. Tiffany was able to snag a 24th in sausage, so we were able to get one of the coveted AR ribbons. congratulations to everyone who heard their names called. It’s always great to see everyone and meet new friends and to meet people in person. A special thank you to my wife Tiffany for going along on this crazy bbq life. And to my kids Taylor and Justin for making the trip with us. Now to dust it off and clean it up and see everybody in Vegas.

Went down to El Paso to cook an IBCA. Great cause for their local VFW. As for the cook,I’m still trying to figure out what they want.

1st in Friday night veteran chicken thighs.

We ventured out to Lubbock tx to the raider red meat shootout this past weekend. They ran a great contest with 55 teams. Definitely doing this one again. I thought I had a decent cook but thought my ribs were tight. I guess I don’t think like the judges. All the meats ended up middle of the pack except for ribs. Ribs 4th Prairie Fresh

Back home from Smokin saddles bbq. What a great time we had. Thought we had a better cook Sunday than Saturday but everyone in the park must’ve felt that way. We were able to land a couple calls.

Congratulations to dam fine beef and swine on RGC and to reigning, defending undisputed day two Grand Champions Finger Leikam Good BBQ Team. They are a great group of guys and always have a great time camped next to them.
