A large cast iron full of tiny pullet eggs. My dogs and chicken will be spoiled today. The chickens don’t get eggs very often. It’s a nice, occasional treat for them. Eggs are an excellent source of protein for feather growth as well as vitamins and minerals for immune support and egg production.

Time for a new layer update in the Oliver Egger coop. We have 3 pullets laying right now almost daily! The layer on the left is a keeper. The other 2 will be either going into our egg eating coop or to a new home. I am working toward the darker green eggs, not the light mints and I have to be picky. The rooster in this pen is a MGOE that came from a very speckled egg. I can’t wait to see what this hen/rooster offspring will hatch later.
