Cream one of our young Icelandic roosters has fallen in love with our significantly older rescue goose, Esmeralda & I won’t be the one to tell them despite all their efforts to start a family it will never happen. 🥹

Sending every healing thought to our first freshener, Miss Marple. ❤️
She went into preterm labor yesterday, and after a difficult delivery, we lost her huge buckling twin before I was able to get him out. It was a traumatic birth for everyone.

Miss Marple is slowly recovering and getting all the care she needs, while her tiny premature doeling is still hanging in there. They both have a long road ahead, but they’re fighters, and we’re taking things one moment at a time.

If you have a spare thought, prayer, or good vibe to send their way, we’d be so grateful. Here’s hoping for strength, healing, and brighter days ahead for this sweet mama and her little girl. 💕
