We have one Organic fed, pasture raised pig available for sale. Our pigs are on pasture and outdoor 100% of the time and fed a certified organic feed with no soy. They did get the occasional kitchen scraps and leftovers from a local food shelf that were not organic. They also received a few doses of diatomaceous earth, but that's it-no medications or other unsavories. They are slaughtered on the farm, which means no stressful transportation.
The pig that is available is a small female, so this is a great option for someone that doesn't have a lot of freezer space or isn't able to make a huge investment.
Price is $3/lb hanging weight (we are estimating a half to hang around 45lbs), flat $25 slaughter fee per half and $.55 per lb butcher fee. The butcher fee includes cutting, grinding and packaging. There is an additional fee for smoking/curing and sausage/brat making. We have the option of nitrate free processing so if you're interested I can give pricing on all of that.
