Hard to believe we are flying into summer, we are feeling the warmth and enjoying the sunshine. Our first spring farm shares are coming to an end and we are so grateful to those who joined us!

We have lots going on the farm! The tomatoes are happy and turning red, a sure sign of summer. Our field is getting planted with lots of yummy vegetables. And we had some surprise ducklings born this week.

Cherry blossoms. Leeks. Peach blossoms. Potato baby. All sure signs of spring! We might have a cold snap but we are ready for the warmth- it is coming!

The hoophouses are coming to life. Our potato beds are planted even if the 3rd child wanted to be planted with them 🤷🏻‍♀️

Our chickens are well loved by the chicken whisperer, she has grown into our little bird lover. We love seeing her grow and taking on responsibilities, she truly cares for all the animals but she has a close bond with some chickens. 🐓

The ladies are happily laying if anyone local wants some farm fresh eggs! Just message me, $3/dz!

We pulled the 93 maple sap taps out this weekend but still working on boiling all the sap down. We had a record year, we will have over 20 gallons of finished maple syrup!!

Sap season is always a long season (even though only a few weeks). It’s our kick off from winter to spring!! We love this season! 🍁

And so it begins again…maple syrup season!! This year with three little helpers on foot. That might mean snack time in the woods or sugar shack but why not?

This is officially our 6th year tapping trees on our property. Time truly does fly by and we have thankfully had some upgrades. Even our helpers have matured to being able to collect sap, even though they are here for fun walks in the woods with snacks and the very end result of liquid gold! Don’t worry they got to taste some sap already 😆
