We have been quiet on here but for good reason. We are busy harvesting, this is our summer!! And we are always playing catch up after cherries in July.

Year two of potatoes in the field and we are doing much better. This is just one row and we are not done with the harvest of reds but we have over 200lbs from today’s picking.

We still have another row of reds, two Yukons, one purple row and our last random row from potatoes we harvested last year that we replanted to harvest (so we have 1 out of 6 done). Our goal is to harvest in the next two weeks and the potato digger is definitely a work smarter tool!!

Thankful for improvements this year and ready to share this harvest with our fall farm shares!

Running a self-serve farm stand is built on trust and the support of our community.

We’ve been open for just 11 days selling fresh-picked cherries, and unfortunately we’ve already experienced theft on 3 of those days. It’s discouraging to see the hard work that goes into growing, picking, and stocking our fruit taken without payment.

Every bag of cherries represents months of work and care. When someone steals, it doesn’t just hurt our farm—it hurts our ability to keep offering fresh, local produce to everyone.

To all of our honest customers: thank you. Your support means more than you know, and you’re the reason we keep going.

If you stop by the stand, please help us keep this little farm running by paying for what you take. We truly appreciate this amazing community. ❤️🍒

This is not my typical post but I am not going to hide from what happened to us today. I blamed myself in the years past….so here is the story.

We are week one in to opening our farm stand after a two year hiatus. We have been amazed by the traffic and are so appreciative of the support.

However, today someone decided to swipe 5 bags of our cherries without payment. I want to give the benefit of the doubt, maybe they really need food, maybe they don’t have money, maybe they will come back? I understand there could be a reason but we work hard for this lifestyle to provide for our family and community. You are not only stealing from my family but the opportunity of other customers to put nutritious, whole food on their plates.

Theft was one of the reasons I took a break. I was discouraged and heartbroken, blamed myself for poor management of the stand. This was after we had brought in law enforcement and had identified the culprit. Nothing happened.

I’m ashamed of this behavior and I really hope the support of our valued customers can outshine the bad of one. We are pouring everything into this farm to make it work, our days don’t end when the sun goes down. We are striving to provide quality, nutritious produce for our family and others. We will keep pushing on, but this was definitely an unsettling bump in the road.

Happy Friday- and cheers to what I hope is a better weekend! Enjoy the sunshine friends.

Love from our family to yours!

*enjoy some progression photos of making the farmstand possible. This took us only two days, when we had some “extra” time.

It’s peak cherry season! We have been busy picking cherries for the last week, and Doug worked extra hard to build me my farmstand (with his extra time). We have some finishing touches but it is functional!

The time is now to come enjoy your sweet cherries. 🍒

These two boys always keep me on my toes but they sure do love helping out on the farm. Who doesn’t love watering greens onions and pepper plants ready to be planted? Or feeding the goats some of last year’s apples for treats?

I might be chasing them around all day but I can tell they are truly starting to love this life and that makes this mom’s heart full.

Thank you for all of you who joined us on our first spring farm share. We enjoyed serving you fresh produce the last few weeks. We have a few weeks until our summer shares start so you still have time to sign up if you want to enjoy more produce!

We will be busy finishing planting the field this next week and are forever grateful for the rain 🌧️ The plants sure do love it and we appreciate not having to run irrigation all the time.

Message us with any questions you might have! We would love to be able to provide fresh local produce to you and your friends and family!

I have tried planting green onions for a few years, finally nailed it. Sometimes it takes a few tries and to be honest I almost gave up. Now I’m planting each week so I don’t run out!! It’s not always doom and gloom, and I do like to celebrate the wins- big or small!

Thanks to the for helping us in our journey.

We experimented with putting some garlic in the hoophouse and so far it is looking to be a success. Our goal was to get garlic early, well I just harvested all the scapes this week so fresh garlic is coming your way before July! Typically we harvest garlic by mid July.
