Last weekend, Friday and Saturday, we shared an amazing time with friends from the Northwest Michigan Draft Horse & Mule Association and Many other that were enjoying the area in and around Sleeping Bear Dunes. Our club gave rides, mowed hay with an old sickle mower, raked and gather loose hay with a hay loader.

It was so much fun to shares our stories, horses, and passion with so many people! Jackson, Jelly and not so little Sammi had a blast and Sammi might have stole a couple of hearts. Jelly sure enjoyed showing off that little filly. They all did great, from the rides to he sickle mower they never missed a beat. We can't wait for next year!

So we had a little snafu with our bailer this weekend, a broken part that should arrive today. What was nice about this was, besides the rain staying away. A couple of neighbors showed up eager to help! Not because they were asked, but they saw a need. Whether is was stacking, hauling, or bailing. It got done! It was nice to see. Not just because it benefitted us, but that people can and do work together. We looked forward to the day that the shoe will be on the other foot. Thanks for the help!
