The time has come. We have sold our farm. We have these wonderful goats and Great Pyrenees who have guarded them who need a new home.

Our goats are Alpine dairy crosses. We have 4 does in milk. Luna, Edith, Angela and Aggie, 2 spring does, Merida and Maudy (bottle baby) and 1- 2 yr doe, Monday who is dry currently.

We have 3 spring buck wethers Macintosh, Hubert, and Wee Dingwall

We have 2 breeding bucks, Angus, 3, who is purebred French alpine. He was a bottle baby so he is super friendly and easy going. His son, Gunther who's 1 and also very friendly.

All of our goats are handled daily and quite frankly, most of the day by our 8 year-old. They will do what ever she asks them to and never sass her.

Our goats all have horns. We came to this decision after having several disbuddings go wrong (done by vets). We are happy with this decision. Our goats are friendly and easy to handle. We now refer to horns as "goat handles" which make life easier. If you have ever tried wrangling a goat without horns, who isn't in the mood, you know what I'm talking about.

The goats certainly have value but I'm only interested in them going to good farms. They can either go as a whole heard or 1 by one. If you're new to goats or hooved animals (ungulates) they need to have at least 1 like pasture mate.

If your interested in the Pyrenees, please see the post below.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to message us. Please feel free to share the post far and wide.

Male and Female Great Pyrenees looking for new pastures to protect. AKC registered, excellent bloodlines and from a long line of working dogs. Both have spent their entire lives with goats, chickens, ducks, and guinea hens.

They are well trained, experienced and in their prime. While I put a very high value on them, my primary goal is a good placement.

The male, Finn is 6 yrs old and high drive. The female, Eva is 5 and medium drive. They love each other but work independently too. They are usually in different pastures.

They are great with children and people in general. Get along with other dogs and cats.

We are selling our farm and cannot take them with us. They are wonderful working dogs who do their job well and I would not give them up if we didn't have to.

We are located in Ludington, Michigan. Please private message with any questions.

These are Guinea Fowl keets or baby Guinea Fowl if you will. They are new to Hibernian Farm in the last month or so. If you search Google, you will get many, varied and mostly strong opinions. They are noisy. Ok. So are cows, horses, ducks and chickens. So far they are pretty quiet though.

We got them due to the increased tick population this year but they had been on our minds for a couple years now. Many people say they wonder off and don't stick around the homestead. This was my biggest fear as they immediately wanted to be out and about. After 2 weeks when they were mostly feathered. They absolutely didn't want to be in their house at night and there was no way to convince them otherwise. Well...we started with 19, lost 2 to illness very early. That left us with 17. 7 brown, 1 lavender and 9 white.

My observations to this point are that the white ones are clearly not as intelligent as the others. I have many reasons but the fact that only 4 of the 9 remain should suffice for now. They are further burdened by the fact that they are white. I am pretty sure you can pick them up on satellite imagery without any issue. Im sure hawks and owls are having no problem at all 😉 We have only lost 1 brown and the single lavender is holding its own.

Our biggest issue at this point is that they won't stay away from the house! They hang out every chance they get on the front porch steps and railing. And leave their p**p as evidence! They are difficult to get to move along too! This is contrary to almost everyone else's experience.

We don't feed them any longer so that's not the issue. They are very self sufficient and out-of the box bug eaters. We haven't seen a tick since they have been on the loose. This was their primary purpose and they are serving it well.

They are fascinating to watch and they love people! If you walk outside, they come running! They don't get treats and more often are chased off when near the house. Still they are not dissuaded.

What is everyone else's experience with these?

This is my buck, Angus. He is super handsome. That's his best friend Finn, who keeps him from being eaten by coyotes. Angus doesn't know Finn could eat him too. ðŸĪŠðŸ
