Congratulations to all the farms in the Hampden, Hampshire & Worcester District that were recognized through the 2026 Local Farmer Awards program!

-with Ellison Farms Beef LLC, Farmer Clark's, Ferrindino Maple, Nightjar Farm, Cote Cattle Company, and Deere Creek Farm.

These awards help local farms invest in equipment, infrastructure, climate resilience, food safety, and production improvements, strengthening family farms and preserving agriculture across Western Massachusetts.

Thank you to each of these farms for the work you do every day to feed our communities, steward our land, and strengthen our local economy. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

Hey folks.
THIS is how we as citizens begin to shape our towns direction.
THIS helps with affordable housing NOW and helps save open land for our children in the future.
THIS is how we stop the tail wagging the dog. THIS is how we set up programs to create an income stream for the Town to help lower taxes in the long run instead of outside developers taking their profits and running.

For those of us that care about the future of Ludlows geographic structure- this plan is critical to put in place. Essentially for a small investment by all of us we can secure matching funds ( free money-ish) to help the Town purchase properties to preserve open recreational/agricultural space AND also build affordable housing. It also can help with maintaining historical buildings in town.
***71% of the State have adopted this. It makes sence.

Look for the label if you buy beef at the supermarket. Its not just good for the economy, its safer for your family. The US has the safest beef program on the planet.
