🫐🌶️ Frankie’s Homemade Jelly Available Year-Round! 🌶️🫐

Although our 2026 blueberry season has come to an end, our jelly-making season continues!

We will continue making our popular blueberry jalapeño jelly, along with our traditional blueberry jelly, throughout the year under our Frankie’s Homemade Jelly label.

Many of our customers have asked about the name. Frankie is our farm mascot, and his name is a playful tribute to Frank Grimes, who, along with his wife Marilyn, founded Grimes Blueberry Farm. We think Frankie’s Homemade Jelly is a wonderful way to honor the legacy of Frank and Marilyn and the farm they built.

If you’d like to purchase jelly after the farm closes for the season, simply give us a call, and we’ll be happy to make arrangements for pickup here at Grimes Blueberry Farm.

We’d also like to send a special thank you to the Hopson family. They stopped by the farm last week just as we were closing after being picked out for the day, so they weren’t able to pick blueberries. However, they took home a jar of our blueberry jalapeño jelly and quickly became fans. After giving us a call, they made arrangements to return today and picked up three more jars. We truly appreciate your support and are so glad you enjoyed it!

And don’t forget, if you’re attending the Texas Blueberry Festival in Nacogdoches this weekend, we’ll have both our blueberry jalapeño jelly and blueberry jelly from Frankie’s Homemade Jelly available there as well.

Thank you all for supporting our farm, our products, and our family business. We look forward to serving you long after blueberry season has ended

🫐 2026 Blueberry Season Has Come to a Close 🫐

The final berries have been picked, and our 2026 blueberry season has officially ended.

While this was a very short and unusual season, we want to sincerely thank everyone who visited the farm, picked berries, purchased products, shared our posts, and supported us throughout the season. Your support means more to us than words can express.

We would also like to apologize to the small number of customers whose berry orders we were unable to fulfill this year. We truly did our best with the crop that Mother Nature provided this year, and we appreciate your understanding and patience.

Although fresh blueberries are gone for the season, we still have Blueberry Jelly and Blueberry Jalapeño Jelly available. If you’d like to purchase some, simply call and schedule an appointment. They make wonderful gifts, hostess gifts, or a tasty treat for yourself.

We’re also excited to share that for the first time in the history of Grimes Blueberry Farm, we will be attending the Texas Blueberry Festival in Nacogdoches. In past years, we’ve always been busy here at the farm during festival season, but this year we’ll have the opportunity to join in the celebration.

Our Blueberry Jelly and Blueberry Jalapeño Jelly will be available for purchase at the festival, so if you’re attending, be sure to stop by and see us!

Thank you again for your continued support of Grimes Blueberry Farm. We are grateful for each and every one of you and look forward to seeing many of you at the festival and again next season.

Good Friday morning from Grimes Blueberry Farm! 🫐

We’d like to thank everyone who came out to pick blueberries yesterday. Between the rain showers, and sometimes right through them, many of you braved getting soaking wet to gather berries. Your support means so much to our family farm.

We sold several gallons of fresh blueberries throughout the day and completely sold out of our Blueberry Jalapeño Jelly! Because of that, we spent last night making a fresh batch and will have at least 58 half-pints available when we reopen for U-pick on Saturday, June 6, from 7:00 a.m. until noon.

We’ll also have our regular Blueberry Jelly available for those who prefer the classic favorite. We also have samples of our jellies available here at the farm if you’d like to try them before making a purchase.

Please note: We will not be open for picking on Friday.

We’re hoping the sun makes an appearance today so it can help turn more berries that beautiful blue you’ve come to expect from our farm. As many of you know, this has been a very unusual season, and blueberry growers across the area have been affected by the weather. Our crop is not what it normally is, so you may have to do a little extra berry hunting to fill your bucket, but there are still berries to be found.

As always, we’ll continue monitoring the weather. If there is no thunder or lightning, you’re welcome to pick between showers, just like many determined folks did yesterday.

Thank you again to everyone who supported us Thursday. We appreciate each and every one of you and look forward to seeing you on Saturday morning!

We’re excited to announce that Grimes Blueberry Farm will be reopening for U-Pick blueberry picking this Thursday, June 4, and Saturday, June 6, from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM!

As many of you know, we’ve had limited picking days and hours this season as we’ve worked to give the berries time to ripen between pickings. We’re excited to be able to open again this Thursday and Saturday and welcome everyone back to the farm.

📍 U-Pick Hours:
Thursday, June 4: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Saturday, June 6: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM

If anything changes, we’ll post updates here on our page.

We love seeing what everyone creates with their fresh-picked blueberries! This photo is from one of our customers who made some delicious-looking blueberry muffins with berries she picked right here at the farm. 🧁🫐

👇 We’d love to see your creations too!

Share photos in the comments of anything you’ve made with your Grimes Blueberry Farm blueberries. Muffins, cobblers, pies, jams, smoothies, pancakes… we want to see it all!

And for those planning to come pick this Thursday or Saturday, tell us in the comments: What are you planning to make with your blueberries?

We look forward to seeing everyone back out in the berry patch!

Sorry to announce, but we are no longer taking pre-picked orders this season 😔

Thank you to everyone who came out for Opening day, today! We had a wonderful first day, and our fields were quickly picked out of ripe berries and now need a few days to recover.

We are having a very unusual season this year due to the late freeze we had in March. Our fields are not as loaded with berries as they normally are, so we ask for your patience and understanding as we adjust our hours to allow the berries in the fields time to ripen.

Because of this, our fields will not reopen for U-pick until Saturday, May 30th. Please continue checking our page for updates as the season progresses.

We are also suspending pre-picked orders at this time and are no longer taking orders for pre-picked berries until we can catch up with the orders already received.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support. Please keep checking our page for updates from Grimes Blueberry Farm. 🫐

We hope you all had a wonderful and safe Memorial Day weekend, and thank you to all who have served, past and present.

05/25/2026

Due to the overwhelming response this morning(Mon 5/25), our fields have been picked out for today! 🫐

More berries are coming and should be ready in the coming days once they ripen. Stay tuned to our page for updates on the next picking days.

Sorry to those who made plans to come out today. We hope to see y’all soon!
