Some of the best warnings come from some of the most tragic events in our lives.

Farming is not easy, clean, predictable, or seamless.

It is dirty, hard, sweaty, and at times heartbreaking and dangerous.

Before I knew him, my step-grandpa was killed by the PTO of a tractor...a scary incident that I constantly remind myself of every time I hook up equipment.

Farming is hard, but its reward is almost unbelievable.

After months of planting, nurturing, weeding, and pinching, something almost unreal happens.

The once brown and bare ground lights up in the most stunning and vibrant blooms of flowers you have ever seen.

Butterflies, bumblebees, rabbits, and frogs find their way, hopping and frolicking in the rows........

And then you realize it was all worth it!!!

And yes, there are many heartbreaking moments when, with all the work put in, some crops fail, a storm might come out of nowhere, or an insect issue might break!

These moments are hard; they test my limits.......But after growing flowers for four years, I have come to trust God more with each of these devastating issues that come. It is never easy, but the only thing we can do is to do our best and leave the rest.

Happy September, friends.

I wish I could say I am growing flowers without hesitation or complications….BUT THAT IS NOT TRUE.

To be honest I don’t know how many more weeks of flowers I will have.

I have planted my eyeballs out over here, and between the grasshoppers and deer, I am losing out more than I am winning.

Ask my family….I AM TRYING.

But one thing I can say without a doubt about growing in Texas is this. Every single year is different, and every single season throws a challenge at you.

I wish I could say… “these kinds of challenges never faze me, and I am so confident in growing flowers and totally not stressed!”

BUT THAT IS NOT TRUE.

I still have to completely rest in God's will for the farm.
Pray over my flowers.
Hope in the future.

And yet at the same time keep working every day!

So….how can you support the farm???

PRAY. And when you can, show our farm some love by sharing about us!
