Scotia Acres Farm-Raised Beef – 1/4 Shares Available!
Fill Your Freezer for Grilling Season
Warmer weather is here — the perfect time for burgers on the grill, steaks on the weekend, and easy family meals.
Now is the time to stock your freezer with locally raised beef you can trust.
Our cattle are raised on the farm in Lumberton, grass and grain fed, and cared for the way livestock should be. We do not use routine medicines, focusing instead on good nutrition and responsible animal care.
We are offering beef by the 1/4 share, giving you a wide variety of cuts for grilling, roasting, and everyday cooking.
Approximate take-home beef: 100–120 lbs
Freezer space needed: about 3–4 cubic feet (roughly a small chest freezer or part of a standard freezer).
Why local beef costs more — and why it’s worth it:
At the grocery store you typically pay:
• Steaks: $15–$25+ per lb Ground beef: $6–$9 per lb Roasts: $8–$15 per lb
When averaged across all the cuts, many families with a ¼ share end up paying about the price of ground beef for everything — including steaks.
With a quarter share, the cost is averaged across all the cuts — meaning you get premium steaks, roasts, and ground beef for a much better overall value, while also supporting a local farm and knowing exactly where your food comes from.
Many families find that once their freezer is stocked, they rarely need to buy beef again for months.
Example of what a typical 1/4 share may include:
• 8-10 Sirloin, Ribeye or T-bone or similar steaks
• 3-4 Roasts
• 1 Brisket
• 1 Flank or Skirt Steak
• 1–2 Short Rib packages
• 35–50 lbs Ground Beef or chip steak if preferred
• Soup bones or stew meat
(Cuts may vary slightly depending on processing.)
