Looking for something to do when the rain breaks today? Come by for day 2 of vertical comparative tastings between the 2024 and 2025 wines released this weekend. The tasting room is a cozy and relaxing place to enjoy a glass of wine.

Get excited! The tasting this Saturday will feature two brand new wines: my 2025 Chardonnay and my 2025 Rkatsiteli. They're young, they're crazy, and they might be a bit early, but this is an awesome time to start getting to know them.

2025 Chardonnay: a departure from the 100% oak of the 2024, this wine still exhibits plenty of oak character while also displaying fruit. On the nose you can find plenty of vanilla notes from the oak aging. Hints of Marzipan, Asian Pear, and cinnamon dance on the tongue, and the wine finishes with a hint of shortbread cookie.

2025 Rkatsiteli: a wine with gorgeous amber color, the skin-contact is immediately apparent upon inspection. The wine exhibits a beautiful pineapple and tarragon bouquet on the nose. The palette is awash of bitter orange, liquorice, and dried apricots, all held together by grippy tannins that would make this wine pair perfectly with any chicken or pork dish. The tannic profile of this wine alludes to its ability to age for a few years to allow for more balance.

Get ready! I will be marking the official release of my 2025 Rkatsiteli and my 2025 Chardonnay with a special comparative tasting featuring their 2024 counterparts and the new 2025 Rose on August 15th.

As usual, standard tastings, wines by the glass, and bottle purchases will be available.
