FlockWorks Guided Goat Grazing. FlockWorks began in 2013 when we began using goats to clear our own land. In the years that followed things were very difficult.

We use entertaining, adorable goats to clear overgrown land and remove unwanted vegetation of all types... from poison ivy to invasive species. Utilizing cute, cuddly goats we are able to offer services to landowners of all types that can assist at bring their overgrown vegetation under control. While it's true that goats are famous for eating a very wide variety of plants, they do no

t eat everything. When needed, we work with the goats to help clear the woody material that goats cannot eat and the few plants that goats


OUR STORY:

The great recession deeply affected our fledgling business and our family's personal finances. Grass was not able to be cut. Already rural property was quickly turning into something more closely resembling jungle. We have found that goats can recover overgrown land and work for you



BUSINESS NAME:

As locals may have guessed, the FlockWorks name is a bit of an throw-back to FlameWorks, our fireplace company. But a deeper reason that the name FlockWorks name was chosen is that we are have plans to work with additional animals and birds to aid property owners in their quest to improve their property. Although the word "herd" most commonly refers to birds, it can also apply to goats, sheep and even alpacas and pigs.

We spray poison on our food to keep other things from eating it, and then eat it ourselves. Or sometimes feed it to our future food.
