Before we get distracted and forget we’d like to thank the folks running the Black Hills Farmers Market for putting on PROtein Day yesterday as well as continuing to let the Mayhem gals come meet all their customers whenever we can make it. Putting on a market that size is no easy feat and we truly appreciate all efforts involved! Also a huge thanks Chef Derek for helping to show customers goat meat can be quite tasty!!

Making our monthly run to the Black Hills Farmers Market tomorrow for PROtein Day! We are loaded to the gills with goat (which takes up half a freezer🤷‍♀️) and beef! Wish us luck in our morning travels and we’ll see everyone soon!

This year’s theme is The Heart of Sustainability — celebrating local agriculture, the people who raise and grow our food, and the connection between healthy land, strong farms and ranches, and strong communities.

Chef Derek Phelps will begin serving PROtein samples at 9:30 a.m. until gone. Beef • Pork • Lamb • Seafood • Goat

Customers may purchase a $20 PROtein Coupon for $10 and redeem it with participating PROtein Day vendors.

SNAP participants may use $10 in SNAP benefits to purchase a $20 PROtein Coupon.

Coupons are available while supply last and are valid through December 31, 2026.

After a short night at the Legend of Rawhide, we have arrived in Rapid City at the Black Hills Farmers Market! We have a great supply of goat meat on hand and even brought along a small sampling of beef.

Once I’m finished up here I’m headed back south to live the legend one more night, so if you’re looking for an evening of something new just follow me back to Lusk!

Seriously though, I could use an extra driver so I can take a nap😊…

UPDATE: I had enough orders to solve my freezer problem, I’ll have updated pricing by tomorrow! Thanks all!

About to have a freezer problem…in that they’re very full of ground beef!!

We’re well stocked in a 80/20ish blend and our lean (roughly 85/15-90/10).

For a short time, we’re offering the following:

Up to 5 lbs-$8/lb

6-19lbs-$7/lb

20+ lbs-$6/lb

If you’re worried about freezer space on your end, I’ve got a knack for arranging things😉

Same day, new location! The meat trailer has been relocated to Dakota Greens- Custer Greenhouses &Nursery, Inc.! We will be here until 5, then onto our last delivery for the day and on home.
