Day 1 cutting - back in July - first 10 acres.

Wow! It’s been almost 30 days since my last post…..lots of life happening…..this damn heat and humidity can also take a hike. Here is my first day of cutting hay in over 20 years. Turns out it’s kinda like riding a bike. I was a little rusty, not real fluid in my lever maneuvering at first. Forgot how much i actually liked cutting.

Had some help getting the haybine hooked up and extra eyes to go through everything. Needed a new tire, changed pretty much all the little knives (about 35 of them), greased and oiled chains. All in all about 4-5 hours to get it ready.

Makeover Sunday. This bed was brutal. It hasn’t been touched in over a year. Lots of loss but I am content with it just being cleaned out. Found a surprise too. Maybe I will add some new perennials this fall for next year.
