Growth Update: Building Something Bigger Than a Map

When I started Local Farmstand Finds, the vision was simple: help people discover the incredible farmstands, farm stores, micro-bakeries, and local food producers hidden in communities across America.

When I founded the American Farmstand Association, the vision was bigger: create a national organization that supports, promotes, and advocates for farmstand owners while helping strengthen local food systems from the ground up.

While they serve different purposes, they work hand in hand. Local Farmstand Finds is the consumer side of the movement. It’s where families discover farmstands, download maps, plan road trips, and connect with local food. American Farmstand Association is the industry side.
It’s where farmstand owners find community, resources, education, promotion, partnerships, and support. Together, they’re helping connect the people growing and making local food with the people looking for it.

These numbers are exciting, but they’re really just milestones along the way. The vision has always been much larger than a map, a website, or a social media page. Building something meaningful happens one farmstand, one community, one partnership, and one relationship at a time.

We’re firmly in the growth phase right now. The foundation is being built, new partnerships are forming, and we’re learning every day what this movement can become. And trust me… we’re just getting started. There are some exciting things in the works, and I can’t wait to share them with you soon. 📣Hi all! Today I noticed I had two visitors at my stand and that I left my sign up near the road indicating we are open. I so sorry to those that came by. We are open 9-7 Fri- Sun.
