Cole. He insists on roosting over the grain room so he has to put up with bright light for longer than the birds in the main coop. But he gets some grace because he was abandoned on the side of the road. Fortunately he was spotted by a kind driver who posted him to a local community FB page. After he roosted in a pine tree we went and picked him up.
Cole is one of the lucky ones. Farm animals are a lifelong commitment. Right up to the moment we must take their life if we can't care for them any longer. So far Cole has proved to be a pretty good fella and we have enough room for him.
