"But Jesus called them to him, saying, "Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God." Luke 18:16 ESV
Children are a blessing from God. They are one of the greatest treasures given to us. Jesus acknowledged these truths by making himself available to children. He welcomed them with open arms. This teaches us that we should likewise as individuals and as churches. I think there is also a warning in this verse. We are not to hinder a child from knowing Jesus. To hinder may be to keep them from church, fail to teach them spiritual values at home, or maybe dismissing faith all together. Do not hinder a child from coming to Jesus.
