📍 Wednesday (Tomorrow) Umami X 2
Amy will be at The Rivermont Farmers Market from 3-7 PM serving up Umami Rice Bowls, while Kevin heads to Three Roads Brewing (still can't tag them HAHA) from 5-9 PM with the return of the Umami Dogs!

Y'all have been asking when the dogs are coming back... so we're making A LOT. Come hungry🔥

📍 Thursday, Rustburg Ruritan Community Farmers Market | 3-7 PM
Kevin will be back in Rustburg slinging rice bowls. Rain, heat or questionable Virginia weather, he's showing up 💪

📍 Saturday, Hill City FC | 3-9 PM
We've got a doubleheader at the stadium!

We'll be posted up in the beer garden serving Umami Rice Bowls for both matches. Come early, stay late, grab a bowl and cheer on our home teams! 🍻

I have my Master’s in Chemistry, so I know a thing or two about experimenting 🧪

The past 3 months of Love + Umami have been one giant experiment. Most of my lab experiments failed, so I’m pleasantly surprised this one is working out so far 🤪

If this week has taught us anything, it's that running a food business is never boring. 😂

We sold out on Wednesday, almost had our entire setup destroyed by the weather last night and somehow we're still ready to do it all again this weekend!

Today's game plan:

Amy at The Arc of Central Virginia's Arc Aid Music Festival in Lynchburg | 3-8 PM 🎶

Kevin at the Rustburg Ruritan Community Farmers Market's Summer Time Night Market in Rustburg | 4-8 PM 🌙

And surprise!! 👀

We're popping up at Three Roads Brewing (not sure why I can't tag them today lol) again tomorrow along with the lovely LYH Market vendors from 4 PM until we sell out. ❤️

We can't wait to feed you some umami bowls this weekend!

Earlier this year, Love + Umami was just an idea. Thanks to this incredible community, it’s grown into something bigger than we ever imagined 🙏🏻

We’re excited to announce our first-ever Love + Umami Dinner Party… and it’s a fundraiser! ✨

Join us on August 1st for a special four-course dinner featuring dishes you’ll never find at our pop-ups, plus live music and raffle prizes 🎸🎟️

This special evening will help send Amy to Jubilee Top Chef 2026 and represent Love + Umami during our very first year in business! 🤩

After a lot of discussion, Kevin and I have decided to split up. This wasn't an easy decision. We've spent countless hours together, faced challenges side by side and built something we're incredibly proud of. But we've grown... and it's time.

Time to be slamming umami rice bowls in TWO PLACES AT ONCE!! 😂

Thanks to your incredible support, we've finally been able to purchase an additional set of equipment, which means we can now cook hot food at multiple events simultaneously!

I'll be making our Roanoke debut at Golden Cactus Brewing from 5-8 PM during the Midweek Market! Come shop local vendors, enjoy live music, grab a beer and check out everything the market has to offer 🎉

Kevin will be at Three Roads Brewing - BURG from 5-9 PM for our usual midweek popup. Come test your knowledge at trivia, enjoy some great beer and grab dinner while you're there🍻

🍷 FRIDAY
For the record, Kevin and I are getting back together for one night only😆

Join us at Fables & Feathers Winery from 5-8 PM for our first visit there! We'll be trying their wines for the first time right alongside you, so come help us decide on our favorites. Grab a glass, enjoy the live music and let us take care of dinner🎶

🎸 SATURDAY
We're splitting up again!

I’ve always been pretty modest about the things I do and much more comfortable creating recipes than talking about them 🥹

Kevin, on the other hand, has been a fan of my cooking since we started dating and never misses a chance to tell people they need to try it 🤩

We sold out at almost every pop up last week, which proves that Kevin’s favorite hobby is hyping up my food 🤪

OMG, y'all... we sold out at almost every event this week. 🤯

We're incredibly grateful because we're slowly starting to outgrow our current setup, and that's a problem we never imagined having this early on!

We'll have this week's schedule posted soon, but here's a little update on what's happening behind the scenes... 👀

Our fundraiser dinner is officially happening! We were fortunate enough to secure a venue at no cost, which means more resources can go where they're needed most. We're currently testing menu ideas, exploring cocktail pairings and working through all the details that turn a good idea into a great event.

Still on our to-do list:

🍸 ABC permit for cocktail pairings
✨ Decor and rentals
🎟️ Raffle and giveaway items
📣 Marketing and promotion
