This week we sat down with Gary “Wolfman” Wolf and his son Mitchell, the two people behind Battle Creek Bourbon. 

What started as Mitchell wanting to do something special for his dad turned into a lot more once they found out tail #258, the aircraft Gary flew the day everything almost went wrong, was headed to a museum in their own hometown.

On April 8, 2003, this A-10, tail #258, took a surface-to-air missile hit over Baghdad during a close air support mission. Losing altitude and airspeed, on fire, Major Gary “Wolfman” Wolf brought her home.

Twenty-two years later, 258 has come home again, this time to stay, at the Air Zoo Aerospace & Sci Museum Aerospace & Science Experience.

Join us September 12th as the exhibit opens to the public, honoring 258, the 110th Air National Guard Wing, and every pilot and maintainer whose grit got her back on the ground.
