Windy Meadows is a family owned farm situated on just under 100 acres in Southwestern Indiana. We have Belted Galloway cattle, chosen for their low maintenance and docile natures. We offer premium Beltie beef, which is processed at a USDA inspected facility and blast frozen and double wrapped for freshness. Call or message to be placed on our waiting list for freezer beef! m market where we stock individual cuts of beef as available. Registered Belted Galloway cattle available, with several award winning bloodlines, including National Champions and Platinum lifetime award winning cattle.

I can’t believe no one has snatched this heifer up yet!

Windy meadow Dixie is a fully registered (52567-B) heifer that is a half sib to our 2021 Indiana State Fair champ Belted Galloway heifer. DOB 10/9/25. She is out of our most prolific and easy calving cow and sired by Eckelman’s Ferdinand, a son of Sunnybrook Soprano. She is only going to get better! To look this well conditioned with minimal grain inputs is amazing. She has sound Belted Galloway genetics in her pedigree and is definitely one for those that want to improve their herds and preserve high quality cattle within the breed. This one is definitely not your average sale barn quality curiosity, for those that just like them because they are “cute”. She is backed by sizable cattle that are built for beef production. She could also be a solid addition for any show string. Located in SW Indiana.

Just posting a few more animals looking for new pastures. Other than the heifers, the others have been exposed and should be bred for either fall or spring calving.

1. Windy Meadow Dixie reg # 52567-B, 10-9-25 calf, sired by Eckelman’s Ferdinand (son of Sunnybrook Soprano), she is half sib to our 2021 Indiana State Fair champ belted heifer.

2. Windy Meadow Noel, reg # 52571-B, also sired by Eckelmans Ferdinand. Dam is Countyline Ida, another beautiful and successful show cow (see photo below) and our most docile in our herd. Either of these heifers would be great for use in the show ring or in the pasture.

3. Needmore Acres Domino reg # 37549-B dob 11-9-13. Has been one of our most reliable dams, don’t discount this matriarch due to age, she has many years still ahead of her! One of her daughters was Indiana State fair champ in 2021. Should be bred back to Eckelman’s Ferdinand for fall 26

4. Windy Meadow Fiesta. reg # 43468-B. Sired by Countyline Connor and dam was Stonesthrow Ubetcha. 2019 NAILE Jr. Champ heifer. One of a kind genetics in this one. Currently being exposed to Eckelman’s Diesel for spring 27 calving.

One extreme to another…..severe storms and tornadoes to this HORRIBLE heat!

“Twister” one of our steers, had had enough of it! 😅 He and the other boys have been keeping cool most days at the watering hole. Twister got his name from the “funnel cloud” shape within his belt! 🌪️

Adding some mixed lettuce bags to cooler today!! 🥬🥬

Again veggies are up here for you as “take what you want, give what you can”! These are extras from our garden! I’ll add more bags as needed. Open until 6 p.m.

We have some more veggies in the shop cooler today…..and we have decided that garden veggies 🌶️🫑🍅🥬🥒 will be DONATION ONLY this summer! We are happy to share our extras with Lynnville, and for garden veggies we will have a “take what you want, give what you can” policy.

We hope to lighten the load for some and offer some healthy, local food options!

Hopefully we will have more as summer goes on, but I added a few jalepeno, sweet banana peppers and green onion bunches today. ☺️

We also still have some lovely little honey muth jar flower arrangements left, and LOTS of eggs!!! 🤪🥚🥚🥚🥚 (These are priced).

Just weaning these two little ladies! They are registration pending pure Belted Galloway, the one with the yellow tag showing was born 12-1-25, the other 10-9-25. Both will be ready in a few weeks to go to new pastures! Pm for details! Sire is Eckelman’s Ferdinand.
