Job Opening: Farrowing Technician

Job Description:
- Working daily in a 5000 sow farrow-wean operation.
- Working in partnership with other farrowing team members, you’ll be expected to maintain strict records.
- Expected to work Monday-Friday from 6:00AM-3:30PM, and every other weekend.
- Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assessment of sow, gilt, and piglet condition.
Administration of proper treatment to animals.
Movement of sows, gilts, and piglets.
Processing piglets.
Feed farrowed gilts and sows.
Practicing humane euthanasia practices and removal.
Daily chores, tasks & events.

Job Requirements:
- No experience necessary, on-site job training will be provided.
- Fine motor skills for writing data, administering treatment shots, and weighing individual piglets.
- Continuous bending, reaching, and steady balance required for treating piglets. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
- Continuous walking and standing; a minimum of 8 hours per day.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and interpersonal communication.
- Comply with all bio-security, safety, and animal welfare policies.
