It’s a girl πŸŽ€ for peanut!!

A few days ago Peanut came up to me at morning feed and gave me a strong inclination that she was going to have her kiddo that day, by that evening around 5 I arrived home after a long day of doing hay to find her and this absolutely perfect little girl.

Her little carbon copy is doing GREAT. She’s getting her hops and zooms down and is enjoying being the center of her mamas attention. πŸ₯°

Everyone meet Ruby!

My deepest olive egg producer. Ironically last winter Ruby spent the entire winter in the house with us, she got frost bite on her toes and ended up losing her foot. We nursed her back to health and she was slowly introduced back into the flock.

She is the only one that lays her eggs in an old dresser inside the coop instead of the nest boxes and happens to have the darkest colored olive eggs in the coop.

2 of her eggs just hatched and I am hopeful that they will be hens and excited to see the egg color they lay in the future.

P.s it must have been natures joke to give her offspring extra toes πŸ˜…

On Tuesday hopscotch was hired to help locate a friends goat that had been missing for 3 days. He helped track for 2 hours untill we located her deep in the woods hiding under some brush.

He was quick to offer aid in many leaf eating activities and breath smelling rituals. He may have cared more about the grain in my pocket then anything else, but the scent of another goat surely helped keep her just a bit more calm as we tracked her to her location in the woods. ❀️πŸ₯°

Let’s meet the crew every day I will show case one of our herd that make our entire operation happen.

Today is Mouse!

Mouse is our ADGA registered Buck, he is an absolute gentleman, only a little stinky and is probably one of the chillest dudes. He has the BEST personality and not a single mean bone in his body. You’ll often see him lounging around the buck pen on his favorite wood platform, or ever so not gingerly singing (screaming) to his girls from afar.

Anyone who wants a buck like him would be LUCKY to end up with one of his offspring, I’m sure would inherit and display the same cool calm and friendly personality.
