This picture makes me so happy. Mama feeding both both babes at the same time. The twins are thriving with mama. We only had to tube feed the smallest twin the first 2 days because it was super weak and we weren't sure he got adequate colostrum... now he is kickin butt.

So happy we didn't have to pull one and have a bottle baby. 💖

Quick weekend trip out to South Dakota for the Lazy TV Ranch bull auction.
Extremely happy with the new herd bull we bought. 🔥 Pumped to see his genetics hit the ground.
Also picked up 2 new replacement heifers from them!! 😍😍

We are finally getting a good snow! Over 7 inches at least and its still coming. The calves we just weaned are looking really good. Everyone is holding good snow on them which means they are well insulated and warm and toasty. ❄️

Gorgeous sunny day today.... good day to wean calves.

Our 2022 calf crop is weaned and seperated into steer and heifer pens.

Catching, separating and sorting went so oddly well... Matt and I are just waiting for something bad to happen. 🤣

And as always.... sorry to the neighbors. It's gonna be a loud next few days.

Fun fact.

If I had a nickel for every time someone declared their sadness over a snow covered bovine, well…I’d be giving you all your orders for free haha.

Healthy cattle are very well insulated against the elements and truly the rain is far more detrimental than these low temps and snow.
