Ganargua Creek Meadow Preserve

Ganargua Creek Meadow Preserve The 56-acre property is maintained by Genesee Land Trust in partnership with Macedon Trails. There is exceptional butterfly habitat in the meadow.

Genesee Land Trust preserves and protects natural lands and waterways that enhance the quality of life in the Greater Rochester region - providing wildlife habitat, locally grown food, and connections to nature. The Ganargua Creek Meadow preserve was donated to Genesee Land Trust in 1996 for preservation in honor of Tim Johnson, by his mother and step-father, Cynthia and Leo Kesselring, and his pa

rtner, Frank Riedman. The preserve is made up of an upland area of hardwoods, wildflowers and shrubs, the winding Ganargua Creek crossing a broad floodplain, and an open meadow where food and cover for birds and other animals is abundant. Property can be very wet in the spring. Dress for poison ivy. The preserve is open every day from dusk until dawn.
