We are a family and God oriented business. Our journey has taken us many places, but life in the city or suburbia never provided us fulfillment - something was lacking. We moved to the Eastern Shore to provide our children a closer experience with God's creation and to be more involved in the food we eat. God blessed us with bounty and it is our responsibility to steward it appropriately. We belie

ve that when God gave us dominion over the creatures of the earth, he provided a design. We strive to follow that design in the way we raise our livestock and food. He designed cattle with four stomachs so they could efficiently convert forage into both meat for us and fertilizer for the ground. Chickens were meant to roam and pigs were meant to root. Our animals live as God designed and live happily on our ranch. We honor the sacrifice they make to provide us sustenance. We strive to provide our friends, family, and neighbors with nutrient dense and humanely raised meat and eggs. It is our hope that our that our ranch can provide a venue to reconnect our community with God's creation; where people feel welcome to join us in our journey, enjoy the outdoors, and study God's design. Matthew 5:13-16
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Psalm 127:3-5
Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.

Three years ago, we stepped out in faith and moved onto this land with a conviction from God and a dream of building something we had never done before—a polyfarm where we could grow pasture-raised, organic beef, pork, and chicken.
We had the vision, the excitement, and a whole lot of determination. We also knew we had a lot to learn, so we spent countless days, nights, and hours studying everything we could get our hands on.

And we still made mistakes 😅

Because there’s only so much you can learn from a book or YouTube video before you have to get your hands in your soil, raise your animals, and figure out what actually works on your land.

Being first-generation ranchers has meant learning a lot the hard way. Some lessons cost us time, some money, and some a whole lot of frustration. But every mistake has taught us something we couldn’t have learned any other way.

These are three of the mistakes we made early on—not because we have it all figured out now, but because we wish someone had shared these things with us when we were starting out.

If you’re dreaming about starting a farm or ranch of your own, we hope you can learn from our mistakes and know that you don’t have to have it all figured out before you begin.

Sometimes faith looks like taking the first step, learning as you go, and trusting God with the process. We’d love for you to follow along and learn with us as we continue this journey 🤎🌱
