Another DISCOVERY. This maple cask finish looked like it needed a home.

This one starts with a mild tartness and quickly mellow into a sweet maple undertone cascading into classic vanilla and caramel notes. Its probably one of the better maple finish whiskeys I've tasted. It makes for a great fall companion.

DISCOVERY on Mackinac Island. is all over this island. And, the great hospitality at Winchesters Whiskey & Bourbon Room convinced me to try it. Glad I did! At 111 proof, they found the sweet spot. Delicious robust buttery caramel flavors overwhelmed the palate. I'm sold!

A pretty cool DISCOVERY in Middletown, Ohio. Thanks to for the hospitality. This new distillery offers bourbon, rye, tequila, vodka, and gin. If you like to support small businesses and small craft distilleries, FOLLOW ! My favorite was the rye...so naturally , I took home a bottle. Look for big things from Name Brandt Distilling down the road.
