🌽 Fresh From Our Fields — The Best Sweet Corn in Macomb County! 🌽

Picked at peak ripeness, our locally grown sweet corn is bursting with juicy, golden kernels and that unmistakable farm-fresh flavor you can’t get from anywhere else. Whether you’re enjoying it right off the cob or in your favorite summer dish, you’ll taste the difference that comes from being grown with care right here in Macomb Township.

🍯 Sweet Corn & Honey Butter Skillet (A Recipe You’ll Love)
Ingredients:
• 4 ears of our fresh sweet corn, kernels cut off the cob
• 2 tbsp unsalted butter
• 1 tbsp local honey
• Pinch of salt & black pepper
• Fresh parsley for garnish

Directions:
1. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat until melted.
2. Stir in the fresh sweet corn kernels and cook for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Drizzle in the honey and season with salt and pepper.
4. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until the corn is tender and glossy.
5. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

🌼🌺Fall Mums Are in the Ground! 🌼🌸

It may be blazing hot outside, but the team at Altermatt Farms & Greenhouses LLC is hard at work getting ready for fall! Despite the extreme summer heat, we’ve been planting thousands of hardy fall mums right here on our family farm in Macomb Township.

💪 It takes months of planning, long days in the sun, and a whole lot of dedication to bring you the highest quality, locally grown mums. From soil preparation to careful planting and daily watering.

🎨 Fun Fact: Did you know mums come in more than 40 different color varieties? From classic golds and deep purples to vibrant reds, oranges, and even bi-colored blooms—they’re the perfect way to brighten up your porch or garden this fall!

🍂 Our mums will be blooming just in time for our fall vegetable season in late august or early september bringing color, beauty, and fresh product to your doorstep.
