As we near the end of National Catfish Month, we would like to share some information with you from one of our farmers, Sherwin Jost. Sherwin is a 3rd generation catfish farmer here in Noxubee County, Mississippi.
βAugust is the most stressful month of the year for a catfish farmer, with extreme heat, high feed consumption, and fish pushing toward maximum carrying capacity makes every day a challenge.
We simply could not operate our ponds safely without reliable aeration, especially during these long, hot summer days when oxygen levels can change quickly.
Keeping our aeration running and staying ahead of oxygen demand throughout August is absolutely vital to keeping our fish healthy and alive.β
We appreciate all of our local farmers who supply U.S. Farm raised catfish to our plant.
Thank you to our many customers near and far for your support.
β¦β¦ and remember there is catfish, then there is Superior Catfish!
