Our goal is to be the premier wine ,craft beer and sprit store in Macon by providing our customers with the finest products and unsurpassed service in an upscale boutique shop setting, at prices that they can appreciate. Carriage hills bottle shoppe started with 800 sq ft and has now grown to approximately 3500 sq ft. Since we bought the store in 2010, we have made number of changes to improve the

Introducing the 2026 blend, featuring High West Distillery’s own straight bourbon whiskey, expertly blended with straight rye and select sourced bourbon and rye whiskeys. The blend is then finished in The Prisoner Red Blend wine barrels🍷 for an unforgettable finish.

🥃 Tasting Notes

Nose: Ripe raspberries, black cherry cobbler, red wine-poached pears, dark chocolate, chai spices & toasted cinnamon.

Palate: Medjool dates, dried cranberries, fig jam, cappuccino, clove, crystallized ginger, cedar & sipping chocolate.

Finish: Boysenberry preserves & star anise.

Red Top Rye

A legendary rye with roots dating to the late 1800s, Red Top became one of America’s biggest whiskey brands before disappearing during Prohibition. Julian Van Winkle III revived it in the 1990s, and now Old Commonwealth is bringing it back for 2026.

🌾 100% Rye | 7 Years Old | Kentucky
🔥 Aged in the hotter top floors of the rickhouse for deeper wood interaction and higher proof.

Nose: Dried fruit notes , raisin and fig lead, followed by dried flowers and a hint of fresh rose petal. Barrel spice rounds things out with cinnamon, cardamom, and white pepper. Go deep and there’s a savory note of fresh baked rye bread with a pat of whipped honey butter.

Palate: Even parts dried flowers, clove, and ginger up front, then fresh rose petals, white pepper, steeped pear, and a touch of barrel spice at the finish. It’s lighter liquid that still coats the mouth decently.

Finish: Fig and milk chocolate lead a decently long fade.

A rye you’ll remember.
