Oink&Moo Farms

Oink&Moo Farms Oink&Moo Farms started out as the dream of Michael Neils Rasmussen, who always told his paternal grandpa Ben N. Well fast forward to 2013 and it was done.

Rasmussen that his farm will be called Oink&Moo Farms because he will raise cows and pigs.

"A quick update from the farm: Due to the cooler-than-normal weather this spring, our crops need a little more time to reach their peak. To make sure you receive the high-quality, abundant harvest you expect from Oink & Moo Farms, we are shifting our CSA start date to July 10th and end date to November 20th. We are excited to get the season rolling and appreciate your patience as we wait for the perfect harvest window!" Our High Tunnel will be going into production until December 1st with slicer tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, slicer cucumbers, zucchini, and eggplant. Broccoli, Cauliflower, cabbage and radishes will be field grown until early November.

Indiana Grown Member Spotlight 🔍 Oink&Moo Farms, Macy, Indiana

Oink & Moo Farms began as a childhood dream—a name its owner once told his grandfather he’d use if he ever had a farm of his own. Today, that dream has grown into a diversified vegetable, fruit, CSA, livestock, mushroom, and microgreens farm that also supports local producers by offering additional farm goods.

Founded in 2013 by Michael N. Rasmussen, the farm started as a hobby before receiving Miami County’s first NRCS EQIP‑funded high tunnel in 2015. In 2016, Michael suffered a serious farm accident that resulted in a traumatic brain injury and post‑traumatic epilepsy. He put the farm on pause to focus fully on healing, and after years of recovery, he began slowly rebuilding operations in 2024.

After a couple of challenging seasons, Oink & Moo Farms is entering 2026 with renewed determination and a focus on community connection through its CSA program. The CSA offers 20 weeks of fresh, local produce—often at a lower cost than comparable grocery store offerings. Shares are available and available from June through October.

The farm is also transitioning one field to certified organic production through the NRCS EQIP Transition to Organic program. In three years, Oink & Moo Farms will offer both conventional and certified organic produce. Livestock operations include hogs and beef cattle sold directly to customers.

Oink & Moo Farms is welcoming new CSA members for the upcoming season and looks forward to providing fresh, local, and responsibly grown food to the community. Follow along on social for more info!
