There can be only one….these 2 have been working it out for a minute now, Abbey, the polled girl. She’s been alpha for a while now and while Piper may have horns (they’re taped)and youth on her side-Abbey is older hard headed and bites😅I hate it when they do this but it’s all part of the pack order

I have a leghorn rooster that we hatched this spring, along with a few more that are available to anyone interested. I thought I would offer them up before they leave for freezer camp. I can post pictures of the others if anyone is interested. Please note that we are in Madawaska.

This is my first time removing spurs off my rooster, I had 3 boys with some pretty gnarly spurs, this picture shows the largest of them. I sure think my hens are going to appreciate them not having those anymore!😅

Train them while they’re young-this is a boy after his Grammy’s own heart. We let the goats out for a bit again today, then worked in the raised garden beds.

I just wanted to remind everyone that when you buy eggs from our farm, not only are you getting farm fresh eggs from happy, free ranging chickens, but you’re also getting eggs that are inspected, hugged, kissed and packaged by our professional staff with lots of love and care 🥰

Hay season isn’t too far away, and we wanted to get the word out that we will be selling square bales this year. Our fields are pesticide free, and all natural ☺️there’s a little bit of everything out there, native grasses and some clover mixed in.
