Pickin’ tomatoes before it rains.

Tomato processing is high on the list!

Canning the zesty poblano salsa that is in the roaster and beginning to restock other pantry items - plain canned tomatoes, Italian herbed tomatoes, Mexican herbed, tomato sauce perhaps, and tomato basil soup as always.

As we enter the last week of Local Foods Month we want to thank you for all the support you have shown for locally grown and locally made food. And we invite you to **think local all year long**! You can continue to support us at the Mankato Farmers' Markets on Saturday mornings from 8am - 12 pm and at our farm store Tuesday - Friday from 9am - 7pm and Saturdays 9am - 2pm.

Found a fatty toad friend when I was working on pruning the summer bearing raspberries.

Tomatoes are coming in regularly now! Harvesting and freezing peppers. Red peppers from Cedar Crate Farm and huge jalapeños from my garden!

Restocking salves! Bug Bite Salve was very popular this last week! Both my tins were empty, so I had to take the last one on the shelf. 😂 Two new batches cooling on the counter!

And I convinced Luna to get in the hammock with me. 🐾

🍎Apple Fritters are the perfect seasonal back to school breakfast!! (Or after school snack I suppose.)

Reheats great for leftovers. A regular recipe over here, and pretty much the only time we use powdered sugar. 😆

Hope all the kiddos who went back today had peaceful and fun days! Bittersweet that summer break is over. How do we have a second grader. 🥲💙

Of course George the Goose had to make an appearance. 🤣
