🎃🏆 LENIQUE RANCH TAKES 5TH PLACE! 🏆🎃

What an unforgettable experience at Half Moon Bay!

This was our FIRST YEAR competing, and we’re beyond excited to announce that our giant pumpkin weighed in at a whopping 1,626 POUNDS, earning us 5TH PLACE! 🎉

From a tiny seed to a 1,626-pound giant, this pumpkin represents months of hard work, dedication, patience, and a whole lot of love for growing giant pumpkins. Pumpkin was 105 days.

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished and grateful for everyone who has supported LeNique Ranch along the way.

Mini will be showcased at Hobbs Grove this fall, and we’re so excited for everyone to see it in person. Despite the name, there’s nothing mini about this pumpkin! 😄

What an experience! 🎃🏆

We competed at the National Pumpkin Weigh-Off at Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm and finished 8th place with 1,461 lbs!

But one of the coolest parts of the weekend was seeing another one of our pumpkins get a completely different spotlight. We donated our pumpkin from the Irvine show to be used as the artist/carver piece — and watching it transform into this incredible creation was amazing.

We wrapped up the event celebrating at the awards banquet hosted by Hard Rock Casino.

Giant pumpkin growing takes months of work, patience, setbacks and a little craziness — but weekends like this make it worth it. 🎃

8th place nationally — and already looking forward to next year!

Irvine Park Railroad pumpkin competition.

🎃 WHAT AN ADVENTURE! 1,287 LBS & 3RD PLACE! 🏆

We entered our 3rd largest pumpkin into the Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Competition, and getting there turned into an adventure all by itself!

Only about 30 minutes into our drive, a tow truck driver crossed three lanes to reach a vehicle on the left shoulder. We had to slam on our brakes, sending our giant pumpkin forward hard enough to bend the bed of the truck! 😳

The pumpkin was covered, so we had no idea whether it had cracked—which could have meant disqualification. At that point, though, we already had our room booked and a whole weekend planned with the grandbabies, so we decided we were going either way!

Thankfully, our pumpkin made it. ❤️🎃

For our very first time competing here, we couldn’t have asked for a more memorable experience.

And Irvine Park Railroad itself was such a great surprise. It is incredibly festive, family-friendly, and filled with activities for the kids and adults to enjoy. The website truly doesn’t do this place justice—you have to experience it in person.

Between the pumpkin competition, the unexpected adventure getting there, and making memories with our grandbabies, this was definitely a weekend we’ll remember.
