Several hundred annuals planted today and the greenhouse is looking a bit emptier. (Still lots to plant out in it yet though!)

What I got out today was a mix of veg (cabbage & brussel sprouts) and flowers (bachelor button, clarkia, straw flower, sunflower, snap dragons, candy tuft, static, calendula, chrysanthemum, marigolds, lewisia, sweat pea, lisanthus, annnnd I know I'm forgetting several others. 😅)

Dan baled hay all day today and with some help from friends we got about 350 square bales stacked into moms hay loft. (How nice when your mom buys a place 7 minutes away with a big barn. 🤣) and now he's out finishing up round bales for the day.

Im baking bread, working on a - very late for us dinner, while also cleaning the cow tank and prepping to move cows around while Dan is busy bailing.

Needless to say we will sleep good tonight. After long hot showers!!! The hay dust is 🫠.

Lovely miss Tulip from this morning as we went to bring cows up from the big pasture to work them.

First one to come find us, first one to follow, and always the first one through the chute. (Half the time she walks right in on her own even. 🤣🤣) And once she's done she always walks back around like ok, where are my cookies??

This man absolutely busts his butt to keep this place up and running.

He doesn't get a day off, ever.

If he's sick, he still gets up and does things around the farm.

If we are on 'vacation', he still takes time to stop and help folks with their projects.

End of day after work, farm work.

Weekends, you guessed it, farm work.

You won't catch him sitting on his butt watching tv for 10 hours or doom scrolling his phone. He has far more important things to do.

SO stinking grateful to have found such an amazing, hardworking, and caring man to call my life partner.

Saturday evenings around here look like...

One kid out riding her horse, the other target shooting with his nerf gun. Dans working on projects in the shop, and im busy with gardening tasks.

I love this life we've built here. 🥰 We have busy but full days, and while its hard work, it's rewarding.
